Yuri Ermakov, a Uni assistant track and cross-country coach from August 2004 to March 2006, appeared today at the Champaign County Courthouse in Urbana for a pretrial hearing. A continuation was scheduled for July 25 at 9 a.m. in Courtroom B.

Today's hearing came after Ermakov, a 23-year-old Urbana resident, pleaded not guilty March 28 to charges of criminal sexual assault (720 ILCS 5/12-13 a4), aggravated criminal sexual abuse (720 ILCS 5/12-16 f), and contributing to the delinquency of a child (720 ILCS 130/1a & 2a). He was arrested and arraigned earlier in March in connection with incidents involving minors that allegedly took place between September 2005 and March 2006.

No details were discussed at today's hearing, and Ermakov remains under a no-contact order with Uni High students and personnel.
