Search for new director/principal postponed until next year

UNI HIGH WILL have to wait until 2009 before finding out who its next leader will be.

The University of Illinois Provost's Office has decided to delay the search for a permanent director/principal until the 2008-09 school year, according to Associate Provost Keith Marshall.

The school's interim head, Steve Epperson, has agreed to stay on for another year.

Marshall said he proposed the delay in order to address issues "critical to a successful search." The school's executive and curriculum committees supported his recommendation, he said in an e-mail sent today to faculty and staff.
