THE RESULTS OF the election for Student Council executive offices for the 2008-09 school year held Thursday were released this morning. They are as follows:

• President: Adam Tiouririne
• Vice President: Alan Liang
• Secretary/Treasurer: Natsuki Nakamura

Both Liang and Nakamura held junior class offices in Student Council for the 2007-08 school year in the same position. Tiouririne, also a junior, will be new to Student Council.

All three executive positions had been uncontested until the day of the voting. That's when Tiouririne announced his write-in campaign, challenging junior class president Isaac Chambers.

Officers for next year's freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior classes will be elected later this week. Look for candidate bios to be published in the OG as soon as all of the candidates turn them in.
