Sam Smith, Uni guidance counselor and community outreach guru since 2001, is moving his magic across campus. Uni's loss is the Krannert Center's gain. Hadley Hauser covers this recent development.

Uni students won't be in class from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, but that doesn't mean they won't be learning anything. For one hour, a multicultural panel will discuss culture and its impact on people's lives. The assembly will be held in Uni Gym. Chris Yoder has the details inside.

Last May, Uni held an all-school cultural fair to recognize and learn more about the differences that make up the Uni community. This year's fair will take place Friday in Uni Gym from 10:55 a.m. to 12:55 p.m., more than doubling the time allotted for last year's event. The fair will include lunch, music groups, and booths. Other activities are planned throughout October to celebrate Multicultural Month.
