WE KNOW THAT many people dislike country music, and we are usually the loudest voices in this crowd. Except when it comes to the Dixie Chicks.

This girl group has always been near and dear to our hearts, and from their comments about Bush's war in Iraq to their amazing and poetic lyrics, we really enjoy the Dixie Chicks in any context.

"Traveling Soldier" has always been a favorite, simply because the love story is so beautiful and moving. And while this could definitely be considered an anti-war song, we just truly appreciate it for the simplicity and elegance with which it is delivered.
