Fall athletes receive their due

Uni's annual fall awards ceremony was held Monday night. As readers of the Gargoyle know, Uni athletes achieved remarkable feats this fall. The boys soccer and girls volleyball teams set records for most wins in a season; Michelle Mehnert became the first Uni girl to finish in the top 10 at the IHSA cross country state finals; Mehnert and her teammates became the first Uni girls to win a cross country sectional championship; Michael Belmont led the area in goals and was named to The News-Gazette's All-Area First Team … and the list could go on. For these honorees it did:
