Violence is portrayed everywhere in the media. From movies to music, there is not a single medium free from it. And we as a society enjoy this.

You cannot walk into a movie theater without seeing an advertisement for a movie involving some form of violence. Why is that? Why has this become such a big part of entertainment?

Southern livin'

During my winter break I got to spend time with my family … which meant traveling a lot. The majority of my time though was spent in Atlanta, and a few other (smaller) towns in Georgia, and although I've been visiting my Southern relatives every year since I can remember, through all my various trips it has become evident to me that there is a different culture that exists in the South.

Occasionally people will remark that I have “very Indian features”, but I’ve also been more incorrectly mistaken for being Latina and also Greek.
