Dear WeatherDude,

I have lived in Champaign all 15 and 3/4 years of my life, and never have I seen such strange weather as I saw today.

Of course I know that in C-U the outside temperature changes more often than Britney Spears’ marital status, but come on.

First it was rain, then hail, then snow, and more rain … all within sixth period. And then the sun came out!

I took this picture when it was over 80 degrees outside this summer at Meadowbrook Park in Urbana.

It’s been a long time since that white stuff fell from the sky around here, hasn’t it? For those who’ve forgotten what the white stuff is, it’s called snow, and I’m looking forward to a lot more of it the next two months or so.

It's finally December, and the number of days till winter break are dwindling quickly. To celebrate the coming of winter break, the Online Gargoyle gets a temporary holiday makeover, and a spectacular countdown on the frontpage.

October is my very favorite month of the year for several reasons. One, of course, is Halloween. Another is my birthday (which was Tuesday, by the way … I'm 17 now!). The other is the colder weather that the month brings.
