Boys cross country: Rundus, Taylor place in top four at Kickoff Classic

KICKAPOO STATE PARK — Junior Austin Rundus and sophomore Malcolm Taylor served notice today that they will rank among the area's top Class A runners in cross country this fall.
Rundus finished third and Taylor fourth at the Kickoff Classic in Kickapoo State Park. Overall, the Illineks placed sixth out of 10 teams. St. Joseph-Ogden won the title, followed by Oakwood and St. Thomas More.
Rundus turned in a time of 17 minutes, 30 seconds. Taylor was right behind him at 17:34.
