• Sophomore sprinter Tuli Bera had the highest finish for an Illinek athlete, placing second in the 100-meter dash. She ran a time of 12.90 seconds (fully automatic timing), which meets the state qualifying standard of 12.94 (F.A.T.). Bera will have to meet the standard again at sectionals (or place in the top two) to advance to state, but Friday's result shows that she is capable of doing just that.
