=========== Game (Varsity) IHSA Schlarman Regional Quarter Final ==============
Urbana Uni HS Tue. Oct. 14, 2008 @ 4:00PM
vs Oakwood HS
FINAL: Urbana-Uni HS (3) - Oakwood HS (1)
3(1) - 1(1) 2x40 min
1st half scoring
17' Eric Fritzsche (goal), Stephen Prochaska (assist) [UNI]. 1-0 A cross from the
right side found the left forward in front of the goal for the finish.
35' (goal) [OHS]. 1-1 A direct kick just outside the box caught the Uni team off
guard, as the ball was played just over the unorganized defending line during the
restart. A finish from an on rushing Oakwood attacker was all that was needed to tie
the game just before halftime.
2nd half scoring
42' Dan Lilly (goal), (unassisted) [UNI]. 2-1 Receiving the ball just over the
half line, Dan moved down the left flank, passing no less than four defenders to
finish just 6 yards out from the goal.
43' Dan Lilly (goal), Conrad Schloer (assist) [UNI]. 3-1 In quick succession,
Uni's team maintained the pressure early in the second half to string together a
series of fabulous passes that ended with the right midfielder playing a through
ball across the goal mouth for the center attacking mid to finish.
67' Cory Whitington (yellow card) [OHS]. 3-1 Hard tackle at top of box.
