Digital Plant Project Web Pages

The following plants were photographed in Urbana, IL during the 2002-03 academic school year. For many students, this was their first introduction to digital photography and web page construction. Student instructions can be found on the Spring, 2003 Organismal Biology Digital Plant Project page.

One of the goals of this project was to determine how students thought taxonomic information might best be presented within those guidelines, and you will find significant variations in their presentation format. All are in draft form. After the June 26-27, 2003 meeting of teachers involved in the TIE-INS project, a second page of images which conform to the standards developed during that meeting will be developed and linked to this page. The final set of modifications will allow the information and images on these pages to be made accessible to major botanical indices users throughout the world.
