Essay 1(50 points)
Honor Code
This essay will involve engaging with the Honor Code here at Uni. You will write an essay on the Code (Student Handbook, page 47) and what the code means to you as a new Uni student. How you structure the essay and what you have to say is up to you. As the writer, you have to learn to make decisions. Some questions to consider, though, might be:
· How does the Code affect me as a student?
· How does the Code affect the environment at Uni?
· How does the Code relate to other things I have experienced in my life, particularly at other schools I have attended?
· Where has the Code impacted my life here already?
· Where have these values impacted my life before Uni?
· How might the Code change my approach to Uni?
· What will these core values do for me as a student? As a person?
· Where have I seen these values at work already at Uni?
These questions are not exhaustive, nor are they intended as specific questions to guide this essay. Take them as a way to begin to think about what you want to say in the essay.
